At the core of TTI’s objectives is business transformation, improving the efficiency of travel businesses through the application of technology. One of TTI’s first initiatives was UNICORN. This is an electronic data interchange (EDI) that, for many years, has allowed tour operators to make bookings direction within ferry reservation systems. More recently, TTI has been transforming business efficiency as a result of the launch of TTIcodes. These are unique hotel identifiers that allow travel companies to speedily de-duplicate feeds from multiple bedbanks. TTI is working on an number of other projects which will be publicised as they come to fruition. Peter Hazel

Pete manages several of TTI’s initiatives including TTIcodes and is the lead consultant for the TTIplaces initiative. Pete recently formed D4T consulting (Data for Travel) with Howard Rosenthal ( ex JAC Travel / Total Stay). Together they bring over 50 years of experience in Travel Technology, from the very first days of TUI’s TRACS system through the evolution of Videotext to today’s web and mobile based solutions.

Whilst Howard’s main focus is in the Hotel Distribution & Content space, Pete’s experience extends to airlines, tour operating, meetings and events as well as travel agency systems serving both business and leisure markets.

Paul Richer

Paul organises all TTI’s conference and events. He runs his own management consultancy, Genesys Digital Transformation. He founded this in 1994 with a specific vision in mind for a management consultancy that would offer the highest professional standards to specifically address the requirement for advice and project services relating to technology in the travel, tourism and hospitality industries.

Paul’s background is as a consultancy professional. After qualifying with a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Cranfield School of Management, he joined Finite Group, a blue-chip strategic IT consultancy operating in the automotive, finance and travel industries. Whilst at Finite, Paul realised that there was a gap in the market for a professional consultancy advising on technology in the travel industry.  He left Finite to found Genesys.

As a result of his consultancy work for many travel, tourism and hospitality organisations, Paul has built an impressive depth of experience of digital travel strategies and technologies that is arguably unparalleled in the consultancy world.
